American Language Village (ALV) Partners with Philippine Normal University (PNU) to Promote English Learning

In 2023, American Language Village (ALV) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Philippine Normal University (PNU) in Manila. This partnership reflects both institutions' commitment to delivering high-quality education and fostering an exceptional learning environment while jointly promoting English language studies in the Philippines.

A key highlight of the ALV study tour program is its immersive learning environment on the PNU campus, renowned for its rich academic and cultural atmosphere. The course design integrates educational experiences in collaboration with nearby establishments, such as department stores, to create practical and engaging learning opportunities.

Additionally, students who demonstrate outstanding academic performance will have the opportunity to serve as teaching assistants at PNU, gaining valuable experience in an academic setting. ALV and PNU will implement this study tour program based on a collaboratively developed curriculum, ensuring a well-rounded and enriching educational experience for all participants.

In 2024, ALV will establish itself in the Philippines as the operational headquarters of Taiwan's ALV ACADEMY to implement camps and study-abroad programs in the country. The program integrates real-life situations into English learning, allowing students to practice ordering, shopping, and dining in actual environments. This approach aligns with the belief that real language learning should go beyond the traditional classroom setting. By using the "Learn by Doing" methodology, students can immerse themselves in practical experiences, ensuring that language skills are effectively applied in real-world contexts.

Maria Montessori once said, "No book can truly describe or capture the vivid appearance of trees. Only in the real woods can one discover real life." This philosophy aligns with our educational purpose.

Indeed, language can only be mastered through continuous use in real-life situations. This principle serves as the foundation of our teaching approach in collaboration with PNU.
